Reflexology uses finger pressure on the feet to create balance and a feeling of deep relaxation. It's simple and can be gently beneficial. The treatment lasts for about 1 hour and you only need to take off shoes and socks. It should not tickle or be painful. A single treatment can be wonderfully relaxing, but the best results are achieved with regular treatments - having two or three treatments either weekly or fortnightly will help to kick-start the benefits and thereafter a treatment once every four weeks works for most clients. Obviously a more intense treatment plan may be required when working with specific conditions.
Reflexologists believe that different parts of the feet are related to corresponding parts of the body and thus working on the feet can have an effect on the whole body. In this way it can be described as a holistic approach. There are 7,000 nerve endings on each foot and so working on the feet can trigger a relaxation response. Reflexology also increases circulation and that, combined with the increased oxygen intake from the relaxation effect, can help to support the body at a cellular level.
By the end of a treatment clients normally feel deeply relaxed and often report getting a great night's sleep. The following day they may notice an increase in energy levels and feel more balanced and better able to cope with life's ups and downs.
It's my experience that Reflexology is a wonderful treatment for people of all ages to support them in getting relaxed, boosting their overall health and wellbeing, improving their ability to cope, helping them through times of emotional turmoil and also supporting them with a variety of health challenges.
Indian Head Massage uses deep thumb and finger pressure, friction and soothing effleurage as well as laying of hands. It relaxes the head and scalp and helps promote feelings of well-being, leaving you feeling calm and relaxed.
Indian Head Massage is done sitting in a chair, fully clothed and uses no oils or lotions - so clients don't finish a treatment looking as though they've come through a hedge backwards! Massage of the shoulders, neck, scalp and face help to reduce muscular and nervous tension and improve circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid. It's a light, surface treatment and so is suitable for elderly or frail clients who often may have neck and shoulder problems but don't like the skin to skin contact of regular massage. It's also a perfect treatment for clients who spend long hours in front of a PC as it helps release tension in that upper back, neck and head area.
Please give Indian Head Massage a try, because you might discover that this is the most relaxed you've ever been, sitting down.
REJUVINATING FACIAL MASSAGE
This natural, non-surgical facial massage treatment aims to: * Lessen wrinkles and habitual expression lines * Reduce puffiness and under-eye bags * Tone and firm facial muscles * Increase elasticity and improve skin tone * Promote a relaxed, more mobile and youthful appearance
This treatment is completely natural and doesn't depend on oils or lotions to achieve the results.
Rejuvinating Face Massage aims to promote a relaxed, more mobile and youthful appearance by toning and firming facial muscles and increasing elasticity and improving skin tone. And by the end of your treatment, you'll have the extra benefit of feeling really relaxed. It acts as a gentle exfoliating treatment, encouraging dead skin cells to slough off, revealing newer skin cells and creating a fresher complexion.
The precise stimulating and lifting techniques of the massage restore the skin's suppleness by toning the collagen and elastin fibres, gently allowing the connective tissue to regain its freedom and elasticity. Also, the massage helps to stimulate blood and lymph circulation, feeding the skin at a cellular level.
For the best results, one treatment a week for 6 weeks is recommended, thereafter one treatment a month will help to maintain the benefits (discounts available)
NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) makes use of a number of tools and techniques to identify how people “do” problems and then helps them do something different. Simply put, you get results by thinking in a certain way, so if you want different results you just change how you think.
NLP is designed to enable you to maximise your potential, freeing you from the constraints which hold you back. With NLP, understanding WHY the problem exists is much less important than determining HOW the problem is created. Changing HOW you think can have a profound effect on what you do. Often the biggest barrier to change is changing behaviour.
An NLP session will consist of a chat about what the client no longer wants, what they do want and what prevents them from getting it. Then a number of techniques can be used to allow the client to change their internal representations so that the issue no longer represents a problem.
It often surprises clients how easily change occurs. Suddenly they discover that they are thinking differently than before and doing things differently than they used to do them.
NLP can help with: *Improve self-confidence; relationships; motivation *Stop bad habits - smoking, nail-biting, etc *Overcome phobias *Resolve internal conflicts, for example where part of you wants this and another part wants that. *Manage stress *Change unhelpful patterns like perfectionism, indecision, need for control, destructive decisions *Deal with issues from the past which still haunt you and affect your life
RELAXATION FOR STRESS REDUCTION
Knowing how to relax is a critical element is managing pressure and avoiding stress. Being familiar with the feeling of relaxation provides a benchmark against which you can measure your levels of stress. And the more refined your awareness is, the better able you will be to manage pressure and avoid stress.
* Learn relaxation and visualisation techniques that you can use in every day life. * Discover how you can feel relaxed and alert at the same time. * Find out how stressed you really are.
